Britt Ruegger
Britt has worked for Aspen Expeditions since 2007 and has been an owner since 2017. In the winter, Britt teaches AIARE courses, guides backcountry powder skiing, ice climbing and hut trips. He has guided skiing and ice climbing from Aspen to the San Juans in recent winters. In the spring, he has guided ski descents off South Maroon Peak and he enjoys guiding the Maroon Bells in snow conditions as alpine climbs. Ski mountaineering trips are among his favourite, and he has trips under his belt to coastal Alaska, the Cordillera Blanca of Peru, the Volcanoes of Argentina / Chile, and the Alps.
For the past 5 years Britt has taken his guiding to the North Cascades and Alaska. He has co-guided multiple ascents of Denali and has enjoyed Alaskan personal climbing highlights on the Harvard Route of Mount Huntington and Bacon and Eggs on the mini-mini moonflower with great friends. In recent summers, Britt has guided classic alpine routes: from the North Ridge of Mount Baker, to the Mithril Dihedral of the Sierra, to the Becky Chouinard of the Bugaboos. Britt is a skier turned climber and he works on all forms: bouldering, sport, trad, ice and mix. In the fall and spring he loves rock climbing excursions to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and trips to the desert with his lovely wife Ella and their puppy Tana.
