Ruth Gorge

The Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier is 1 mile wide and 10 miles long.  On Either side granite cliffs and peaks rise 1500 meters above the crevassed glacier.  The Ruth is world famous for its abundance of alpine mix routes ranging from moderate classics to alpine test pieces and un repeated ascents. 

The climbs range from 7000 feet to 11000 feet so high altitude acclimatization is not required.

We offer guided ascents of the classics such as the world famous Ham and Eggs on the Moose’s Tooth or mixed climbing on the South West Ridge of Peak 11300.

Prior experience in winter alpine / ice climbing and winter camping is required.
